Our team delivered a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) study for a large-scale bulk storage terminal site. The scope included 3D scanning, model production, FEED deliverables, and input to the capital cost estimate.

Key activities included:

• Development of preliminary process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), line sizing, and design of pumps and equipment layouts for all plant, pipework, and storage tanks.
• High-resolution 3D point cloud laser scanning of the existing facility to enable accurate routing of new pipe runs to new tanks and loading areas.
• Creation of a detailed 3D model incorporating both existing and new plant, tanks, pumps, heat exchangers, and supporting infrastructure.
• Preliminary 3D design of new import/export pipework and tanker loading systems.
• Input into capital cost estimates based on FEED outputs.

Preliminary design of civil and structural works included:

• Piling
• Drainage systems
• Utilities provision
• Foundations and buried road crossings
• Structural supports and racks
• Access gantries
• Infrastructure layout, including new roads and turning circles for road tankers
• Main pipe support arrangements

This FEED study provided the client with a robust technical and cost baseline, enabling confident decision-making ahead of detailed engineering and construction.
